Cats Alive Inc. is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Fort White, Florida, dedicated to reducing cat overpopulation and preventing the euthanasia of healthy cats in rural communities. Through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs, free or low-cost spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and caregiver support, the organization works to humanely manage outdoor cat populations. Since its founding in 2019, Cats Alive has helped hundreds of cats and caregivers, focusing on compassionate, practical solutions to improve feline welfare.
| Objectifs.
Reduce Outdoor Cat Overpopulation
Provide free or low-cost spay/neuter surgeries to prevent uncontrolled breeding among community (feral/stray) cats.
Prevent Euthanasia of Healthy Cats
Ensure that no cat is euthanized simply because of a lack of access to affordable veterinary care or sterilization.
Support Community Cat Caregivers
Offer trapping assistance, transport help, and veterinary guidance to residents caring for outdoor cat colonies.
Provide Access to Basic Veterinary Care
Administer vaccinations, emergency medical treatment, and post-surgical care to cats in underserved areas.
Educate the Public on Humane Cat Management
Promote awareness and responsible behavior regarding TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), colony care, and feline health.
Collaborate with Local and National Partners
Work with veterinary clinics, animal welfare groups, and networks like Best Friends Animal Society to maximize reach and impact.
Operate with Transparency and Integrity
Maintain a fully volunteer-based structure, directing nearly all funds toward direct cat care services.

Our mission is to humanely manage outdoor and community cat populations through accessible spay and neuter services, vaccinations, life-saving medical care, and caregiver support. By removing financial and logistical barriers to care, we work to end the euthanasia of healthy cats and ensure that every cat—regardless of ownership—has the opportunity to live a safe, healthy life.
